What went on? Walking home, past the houses at the end of the street, there was a bloke at the door of one of them. He was leering and slurring with a can in his hand. The old man house-side seemed to be trying to close the door, which he did eventually, to the sound of slurring man saying 'Thanks mate, see you tomorrow', before he shuffled noisily away then spat loudly in the gutter.
